Not only is the Ivy League student working for free, but the assigned tasks include things like data entry. "It was advertised as a great opportunity to learn about hedge funds, but in reality I'm doing grunt work," says the intern. An unpaid intern at a New York City auction house makes a similar complaint. "We do go on museum field trips and there are lectures about the [art] industry, but I would say 80% of what I do is clerical," he says.Am I the only one who thinks these kids should stop their bitching?
